Joining Hands Across the World was the first byline that Mission Direct used to describe its mission. We were sending teams of Christian volunteers to serve the poor in the developing world. In my case Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, The Dominican Republic, Moldova and Brazil. This work would often be in the form of building a new classroom for a school, extending a clinic or refurbishing buildings damaged by the civil war in Sierra Leone. This occasional blog will detail some of the mission trips I will be taking along with trips to other countries and the odd venture into the hills and mountains that I love.
